Cosmaé is a French company located in Brittany in the region of Brest, where the salty sea spray mingles with the warm and sunny hearts of its people. Since 2002, on the Iroise land, a small group of die-hard Bretons have been manufacturing natural cosmetic ingredients for professionals, in an eco-responsible and sustainable way.

After 20 years of experience in the design and manufacture of cosmetic ingredients, we wanted to bring our expertise and know-how to private users by creating Cosmaé. A trendy brand, "slightly" rebellious and committed to break with the darkness of industrial cosmetics. Cosmaé is the opportunity to take back control of your consumption by making your own cosmetics. Whether you are an expert or a chemist's apprentice, it is not necessarily difficult if you are well guided. The entire Cosmaé team, built around chemists, biologists and formulators, guide you safely. Indeed, all our recipes have been certified and validated by an external toxicologist to guarantee you the greatest safety of use, in all transparency.

Inspired by nature, we do our utmost to offer you natural, certified organic and sustainable ingredients. We are committed to an eco-responsible approach to design and manufacture our products. We devote our efforts to use an alternative and upcycled methods to offer you the greatest and eco-friendly cosmetic ingredients, while guaranteeing effective and concentrated ingredients. Because we rely on the strenght of our circular economy, we manufacture a second life to raw materials. Our main goal is to create a positive impact on our envrionment and ecosystem, to show a more beautifull world's way.

We prefer to tell you right away, some of our ingredients are not yet available in natural. Only 8 out of 350 ingredients are not naturals yet because we didn't find alternatives to offer you natural preservatives. Indeed, it is very important that your homemade cosmetic products are well preserved and stable over time to guarantee your safety. Thus, it is essential to use ingredients that allow it but, for the moment, no natural alternative exists. However, we are working hard on it.

As a manufacturer of cosmetic ingredients, we control the entire manufacturing process of our products because we have all the necessary equipments to manufacture high quality ingredients. At Cosmaé, we grind, extract, sieve, mix, sterilize and filter, while ensuring the quality of our products through quality analyses that certify the conformity and safety of the ingredients at each stage of the raw material transformation process.
